Obituary of Raymond Michael Stollmer
Raymond M. Stollmer, Sr., of New Milford, CT passed away on January 31, 2019. He was born on August 19, 1936 to the late Raymond and Clara (Krause) Stollmer in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in Cambria Heights, Queens, NY and later moved to Cortlandt Manor, where he raised his family.
Ray was a veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1957 – 1960. He was the owner of Hollowbrook Wines and Liquors for many years and was employed by Columbia Presbyterian Hospital as a data manager until he retired, and then worked as a starter at the New Milford golf course. He realized one of his dreams when he earned his pilot’s license in the late 1980s. Ray loved boating, playing golf, and was an avid Bridge player. He loved to travel, visiting Europe, Asia, and Africa. He most recently enjoyed spending time in Aruba. He loved his family and animals, including the furry sons, Lucky and Bichie.
