Obituary of Louise DeThomasis
Louise DeThomasis passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2019, she was 93 years of age.
Louise was born in Abbateggio, Italy to Joseph and Italiana Salvate.
They Immigrated to the United States in 1934 and settled in Peekskill. She attended Peekskill Public schools and even worked as Rosei the Riveter during World War II.
On January 20, 1946 she was married to the love of her life, Andrew and went on to have two beautiful children. She will be known as a loving mother, as well as an excellent cook.
She is survived by her Loving Daughter Diane (Andrew) Picciano, brother Nunzio (Lucia) Salvate, sister Emma DiFabio, sister in law Elsa Salvate, grand children Michelle (Nick) Esposito, Victoria (Wes) Salis, great grandchild, Wesley Salis, and many nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her spouse Andrew, her son Vincent, and her brother Patsy.
Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial to be held at the Church of the Assumption on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:00am.
Interment to Follow at the Assumption Cemetery.
