Obituary of Edwin P. Webster
Edwin Peter Webster, loving husband & devoted father, died peacefully at home after a heroic struggle with cancer on August 1, 2019 just 26 days after his 73rd birthday. He is survived by his wife Diane; daughters Jennifer and Jacki, son Ed, and sister Patti, and four grandchildren. Ed was 35 years sober and active in AA since 1984. As a private investigator, Ed was diligent in his pursuit of truth and he caught many bad guys over the course of his career, the most famous of which were the “Killer Grannies” of LA. He loved to dance, he loved to sing, especially “Irish Soldier Boy” & Willie Nelson. Most of all, Ed knew how to love and how to laugh, and how to make people feel comfortable in their own skin. His light may have gone out, but his love shines on.

“Hush now, mo stóirín
Close your eyes and sleep
Waltzing the waves
Diving in the deep
Stars are shining bright
The wind is on the rise
Whispering words
of long lost lullabies...
...Oh won't you come with me
Where the ocean meets the sky
And as the clouds roll by
We'll sing the song of the sea
Grá go deo”
-The song of the sea
