I was saddened when I read your post the other day, Donny! We go back a long time over 41 years! Debbie was Bob's first boss when he moved up to Westchester and worked at the Ossining Children's Center. My facebook profile photo was taken in our first apartment in Ossining on Waller Ave. Debbie, you, and my cousin Mary Ellen were toasting us! I'm sure Bob and Debbie will get together in heaven and toast all of us left behind on earth. As I told Vic Schymeinsky in April when I spoke with him (after his wife of 30 years, Jane passed away), I'm telling you Donny and your family, when you get down and are emotionally drained look outside your window, I'll bet you will see a cardinal nearby. Our loved ones visit us from heaven as cardinals. Legend has it when Cardinals are nearby, a loved ones angel has come to visit, the family they left behind. Should you ever need to talk, just pick up the phone and call me, I'm there for you! Bob's been gone 5 years this September, some days it feels like yesterday, that's when I think about all of the treasured memories and pictures, to happier times when there was no sickness and I can smile. You and your children put together a loving and beautiful treasure chest of memories for everyone to see and remember Debbie by. I am so sorry I was not able to make it to the service last night!
