Obituary of Josephine M. Anderson
Josephine M. Anderson was born September 29, 1919 and passed away on September 7, 2019 at the age off 99 just 22 days short of her 100th birthday.
Josephine was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Ralph, by her parents Maria and Carlos Menga (1st generation Italian Immigrants), her sisters Louise McGrath, Anna Gallo, Constance Pascale, Mercedes Uva, and brother Louis Menga. She is survived by her sister Antionette Frisenda, her sons Ralph and Joseph, her daughter-in-laws Frances and Beth, six grand children Danielle, Nicole, Ralph, Stephen, Marc, and Michael and six great grand children Jack, Mady, Skye, Lia, Nathaniel, and Wyatt, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Josephine was a Nurse Assistant during World War II and retired from the Hendrick Hudson School District as a switchboard operator in the administration office. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Parish and the Buchanan Senior Citizens. She loved to bowl, cook, sew, and make afghans for her children and grandchildren.
Josephine made friends wherever she went. She was a beautiful and loving person. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Chapel Service to take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10:00am
