Obituary of Salvatore J. Bottiglieri, Sr.
Salvatore J. Bottiglieri, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the age of 90.
Salvatore served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957. He retired from the Hendrick Hudson School District in 1995 after 35 years of faithful service. He was a chairman and member of the Village of Buchanan zoning board for over 20 years. Salvatore was a lifelong member of the Buchanan Engine Company, Cortlandt Engine Company, a life member of the Peekskill Elks, and a member of the Mt. Carmel Society of Verplanck. He was also an active member of the Buchanan Seniors.
He is survived by his adoring wife Carmela, who he was married to for 67 years. He is also survived by his daughter Concetta, his son Salvatore Jr. and wife Sandra, his granddaughter Gina and husband George, his grandson Salvatore and wife Susan, and four great grandchildren, Gavin & Geordi Chang, and Abrianna & Gianni Bottiglieri.
Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Verplanck, NY on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 10:00am.
Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Verplanck, NY.
