I was in attendance at Pace University for undergrad during the time Danny was working there. Always a very nice guy whenever I saw him and I always sensed there was something different/special about him, especially given he was very well spoken. I recall he suggested I fix my name, as he did, to better assimilate. This is still on my to do list! I had no clue how accomplished he was professionally or that he served in the U.S. Air Force. He clearly had a positive influence on our family and their assimilation as first generation Italian Americans. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know him more. My deepest condolences to the whole family. We are very sad that Danny passed away. We loved our cousin Danny and he was very calm, thoughtful, smart & he loved his family. Our condolences to his children and Grandchildren. Cousin Dany has been my inspiration since I was a child. I remember when he came to visit us in Italy during his Air Force years. After I immigrated to the US, I appreciated his weekly visits to Zio Carmine e Zia Maria from NJ. He has held my admiration for his life-time achievements, patriotism, kindness, and generosity.
