I sincerely thank everyone who reached out to me to provide comfort and support. Your words mean a great deal to me as I mourn the loss of my father.
I will forever be grateful to Mary Lou, my father’s wife, who took the best care of him. Her love and care gave my father a long, healthy, and happy life. She made him laugh, smile and shared their faith that gave them such a spiritual bond to one another. Their love is eternal. Thank you(!) Dina, Chris and everyone who kept my father company and helped Mary Lou in my dad’s final years.
My daughter, Courtney, moved home to be by my side during the pandemic…her quiet way of watching over me. I enjoy sitting out by the fire in the evenings and sharing stories about her granddad. Her support and just her presence mean the world to me.
The pandemic has prevented so many people having services to honor their loved ones. My best friend, Debbie, organized a Mass said in my father’s name. She and her sister, Sister Marie Eufemia, organized a rosary service that allowed my family and friends from around the US and Canada to pray a rosary and celebrate my father’s life. I can’t express how much I appreciate the love and support from everyone that prayed the rosary for my dad.
Thank you, Fred and Evelyn, for offering a novena for my father. Your prayers are a great comfort.
I have to give a special thanks to Debbie, Kim, Michelle and Ron for helping me find the Bavarian hat and perfect feather as a gift for my dad this past year. He loved the hat!! He wore it every day and it is with him on his final journey.
Thank you to all who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers. Your friendship brings me comfort during this difficult time.
Thank you,
Bob
