Although my mom had been sick for a while, the last few weeks had been extremely challenging for her. I know she is now with my brother Michael, which brings me comfort. My mom received her wish to pass on in her own bed and it was my honor to care for her. Our last words to each other were, I love you.
I have deep gratitude for the Hospice Visiting Nurses who helped and taught me on how to care for my mom so she would have dignity in her final days. That she did.
