Obituary of Samuel Torres

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, sibling, and son Samuel Torres passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Phelps Memorial Hospital and sadly lost his courageous battle with cancer. 

He was born on June 10, 1955, in Ponce, Puerto Rico Arcadio and Olivia, he then moved to New York as a young child. Samuel moved to Peekskill over twenty years ago to become superintendent of Barham House. 

He is survived by his loving wife Carmen Torres, daughter Carmen Gonzalez, grandson Steven Rosa, and loving son-in-law, siblings, nieces, and nephews.  

Samuel will always be remembered for his humor, as the comedian.  In any situation, he always had a joke to make anyone smile.  He had a love for sports specifically baseball, game shows (Jeopardy), and Sunday BBQs. 

Dad, you will always be my “fatso”.   

Visitation will be held at Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
