Obituary of Alisia McIntyre
Alisia McIntyre was born on August 29, 1973, to Lorraine and Thomas McIntyre of Peekskill, New York.
After graduating from Peekskill High School, Alisia attended Putnam Northern Westchester School of Practical Nursing in Pleasantville followed by Pace University Leinhard School of Nursing earning her Associate in Nursing degree. She worked at Maryknoll sisters in Ossining. She was the RN Charge Nurse in the subacute unit then at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco on the Oncology unit and ICU. She also worked at Westchester Medical Center until she decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of starting her own business, breeding and training her beloved German Shepherd’s as assisted therapy dogs Highlander German Shepherd’s LLC.
Her love of nursing was only surpassed by her love and devotion to her beloved German Shepherd's. Anyone who knew Alisia would tell you her fur babies were her life and were the wonderful people that she came in contact with through her dogs. They all became extended family. As her father‘s health started to decline, she devoted herself in a timeless way around the clock to his care. She saved his life on more than one occasion and without her care, he wouldn’t have had the quality of life that he did. She was his angel on earth and he was her hero, her beloved “Pop“.
Alisia was a loving, kind compassionate person with a beautiful soul always putting her family and loved ones first. She made sure everyone was taken care of and then on December 6 she laid down to rest and peacefully left to join her beloved Pops in heaven. The world has lost a truly loving beautiful soul too soon. But God needed her to come home. I’m sure she is surrounded by her love for her fur babies and family, and is at peace. She was the light of her mother and father‘s life and left too soon.
Alisia is survived by her ever-loving mother Lorraine, her Uncle Timmy, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Danny, Aunt Jean, Aunt Dolores, and Aunt Marion; her boyfriend Carl. Cherished cousins Devin, Camryn, Sarah, Marissa, Kandy, Karen, Joey, Scott, Brian, and Jay as well as Walter, Nancy, and Bobby. All her friends that always became extended family for life including her beloved family in “Blue“.
She is predeceased by her ever-loving father and hero Thomas, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, friends, and “fur babies“.
