I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of Kim. I had hoped to meet Kim this week at a hearing for my Domestic Violence Abuser. Kim was one of the reasons I felt strong enough to leave...I met her through my childhood friend Kelly and they both really helped me for over a year while I was still being abused and all the way through with the after effects and court hearings right up until recently. Kim shared a lot about what was going on with her also which was really horrible, our criminal justice system is NOT right and this woman who was advocating for others really needed some help and didn't get it. It breaks my heart. She was a bright light and a caring soul who helped me when I needed it and I wish I had gotten the chance to know her better. Prayers and sympathy to all her family and friends.

Kim was will leave a huge hole in my heart. I never met her, but developed a huge bond through Kim supporting causes against Dometsic Violence. We met via FB through a mutual DV site. In 2013, her neohew Matt came to Maine and filmed my Documentary " None So Blind". Kim and in would talk monthly if not more. We related to a lot in each other. She will forever leave a hole in my heart and leave this world a little less brighter. Rest easy Kim
