Lily and Howard Pobiner remember Maria as a treasured mentor, friend, guide, mother, grandmother and wife. No one will ever forget the radiance of her smile that lit up every room we were ever in with her and the Chapel Hill pool deck as she held court with her family and friends around the community pool every available warm weather moment. We treasured her company at many community events and dinners out with full tables of friends. There will always be a place in our hearts for her memory. Rest in Peace dear Maria. I have so many memories of The Tartagliones. All the camping trips and the New Year's Eve parties and the sleepovers. Maria was my mom's best friend since their days in Evergreen Knolls. She helped plan the baby shower for my mom when she was pregnant with me. They would celebrate their Birthdays every year for over 20 yrs by spending it in Cold spring just the two of them until my mom moved South, even then they would talk for hrs on the phone on their respective Birthday. I feel truly blessed to have seen Mr. and Mrs. T. In March when I was visiting home. She told me some wonderful stories of her and my mom that I never heard before. I hope Mrs. T knows how valuable that day was to me. I got to hug her and tell her how much I love her and how much my mom loved her (not knowing that I would never see her again). My tribute to Maria (Mrs.T), is in honor of her and my mom's friendship. I know that they will be reunited laughing their heads off, creating mischief, like they always did when they were together. To their friendship that spanned over 45yrs. I love you Momma T. To John ( Mr. T), Donna, Teri, Crissy and the rest of the family I am sending all my love, a huge hug and prayers.
