Obituary of Linda Lee Cozzi

Linda Cozzi, formerly of Peekskill, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Phelps Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.  She was the second child of the late Umberto & Catherine Cozzi.

During her lifetime, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family. In 1980 she traveled to Italy with her Mother to visit relatives in her Father’s hometown.  Her travels also included visiting family in France, Switzerland & California. 

Linda loved flowers, listening to music, watching television and movies.  Elvis Presley, the Honeymooners, and Sister Act were among her favorites. She also loved animals, especially her pets who always brought a bright smile to her face.

Linda attended YAI day program in Tarrytown for many years and was extremely fond of her peers and the wonderful staff.  Linda resided at the WARC Briarcliff house for the past 25 years.  She loved the staff and her family at Briarcliff just as much as they loved her. 

Linda is survived by her two sisters, Joan (Edward) Zegarelli of the Finger Lakes Region and Doreen (Wayne) Busse of Peekskill, NY; two nieces, Melissa (Anthony) Valente and Jennifer (Dan) Jacobs; two nephews, Matthew (Kate) Busse and Christopher (Emily) Busse; as well as Aunt Dee Dee and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Sunday, May 2, 2021, from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of the Assumption 920 1st Street Peekskill, NY on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
