Googling randomly I came upon this obituary and am saddened to learn of the passing of Uncle Dick. Back in the 1970s my parents Thys and Dell were close friends to Uncle Dick and Aunt Cathy. They would host us at their home in Hartsdale and with their warm hospitality and good fun they felt like an uncle and aunt to me for sure. It's been more than 45 years now but I still recall those family gatherings there with the homemade ice cream, playing detectives with Vicki and Danise, climbing the crabapple tree in the back, the dogs Sheba and Hector the protector. Thanks so much for those happy days, Uncle Dick. I know you're in heaven now. (And thanks to you too, Aunt Cathy. God bless). Love, Jan Dorenbosch Clarke

Many Fond memories : Dads love of Gardening and music. . Dad and I took classical guitar lessons together on Saturday mornings in White Plains-Greenberg NY. A Garden of hope and a green thumb . The memories of my father that stick out most in my mind at this moment are in the garden or community plot . He would take me and my sister with him after work and on a weekend in Hartsdale Ny where I grew up . A community plot on Woodlands high-school campus . As an adult my memory of him planting seeds in my garden at my Lake house . He and my mother would go to stay there together and help me care for it . Then his garden at their home in Chapel Hill . These gardens are available forever for my family and others to enjoy . Danise Talbot
