Obituary of Marjorie Ann Pauze

Marjorie Ann Pauze of Peekskill, NY passed away on March 23, 2016. She was 79 years old. Marjorie was a Teacher’s Aide for the Peekskill School System for 27 years, retiring in March, 2005. Earlier she had worked for Yonkers Savings Bank as a teller from 1953 to 1958. She was born on September 11, 1936 in Yonkers, NY to Joseph J. and Edna (nee Schlessing) Zuk, Jr.. Marjorie graduated from Commerce High School in 1954. On August 31, 1957 she married Alan E. Pauze at Most Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, NY . Locally, she was a member of the Home School Assoc. (1963-1988), organizer and member and past President of the Peekskill Teacher Aide Association. Marjorie also belonged to the Columbiettes, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Franciscan Lay Associates and the Girl Scouts of America. Marjorie Ann is survived by her children, Lisa Ann (nee Pauze) and her husband Richard Kontos of Peekskill, NY, Erik Jason Pauze of Bay Shore, LI, Adria Ruth Pauze of Peekskill, NY. daughter-in-law, Marilyn Pauze of Largo, FL. Grandchildren: Justin (Jillian), Gwen, Jacquelene, Kyle, Nicholas, and Megan. Great grandchildren; Freya, Rory, Dean, Nathan, and Alyssa. Also surviving is a brother, Bruce Zuk. Pre-deceased by her husband Alan E. Pauze and her son Mark Alan Pauze. Visitation is today, Friday, 7-9pm and Saturday, 2-4 & 7-9pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. No visitation on Easter Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday 11:30am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
