Obituary of Mary A. Lepore
Mary A. Lepore, age 88, passed away December 4, 2021, just 1 day before her 89th birthday. She was a resident of Buchanan, NY. A homemaker, she was born on December 5, 1932 in Peekskill, to Nicholas and Mary Cardilli DiCola.
Mary was educated in Peekskill Schools, graduating from Peekskill High School in 1951. She married Anthony Lepore at Assumption Church on September 6, 1953. They lived in Wappingers Falls until 1996, when they moved to Buchanan. He died in 2006.
Mary loved creating delicious meals and also sewing. She had a kind and generous heart, and would assist her family in many ways, whether it made preparing a meal, or tailoring a dress or a suit. She was a deeply religious woman, and always kept her faith, in spite of her failing health over the last 2 years. For a couple that had no children, Mary and Tony played major roles in helping to guide their extended family when needed.
Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews, and also many friends from the Peekskill and Wappingers Falls areas.
Besides her husband, Tony, she is also predeceased by her brothers Gus, James, Anthony, Joseph, Angelo and Nicholas DiCola, her and sisters Constance Imperati, Antoinette Zeoli, Pauline Massari, and Angelina Carlini, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Assumption Church, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St. Peekskill from 9:00AM to 11:00AM.
Memorial Donations may be made in Mary and Tony’s names to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
