Obituary of Ronald D. Schlitt
Ronald Schlitt passed away suddenly at home in Tennessee on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at the age of 59.
Ronald graduated from the Fire Academy of the city of New York in 1995 and retired in 2015. Special thanks to the Fire Department of New York for honoring Ronald for his service as a New York City firefighter for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Susan (Miranda) Schlitt; his daughter Miranda Ross and son-in-law Allan Ross; his sons Eric Schlitt and Thomas Schlitt; his mother Mary Schlitt
his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Miranda; his sisters Carol (Mark) Cronin, Patricia (Jesse) James, and Margaret (Steve) Schutzman; his sister-in-law Lynn (Mike) Carano, brother-in-law Robert (Marylynn) Miranda, sister-in-law Lori Miranda and her partner Chris Ward, and sister-in-law Jennifer (Marc) VonMolnar.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Adam (Kelly) Carano, Michelle Carano and her husband Alex Monroy, Jessica (Luke) Holland, Robert Miranda, Meghan Litten, and her partner Neil Brodin, Emmett (Brittany) Litten, Patrick (Emily) Cronin, Jamie Cronin, John Cronin, Max Schutzman, and Deirdre Schutzman as well as many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He will be greatly missed by his fellow firefighters and loving friends.
Visitation and Service of Remembrance will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Saturday, May 14th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
