Obituary of Karen Ormsby

Karen Ormsby (nee LaRocca), 54, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

She was raised in Washington Township, Bergen County, NJ, and had lived there until she married in 1999. She graduated from Westwood Regional High School and worked at Pizzella Brothers. She was also the Team Manager for the
Lakeland/Walter Panas High School hockey team as she devoted her life to her son, Christian, and his sports. She also taught CCD classes three times a week at Church of Holy Spirit. With her lucky Doritos in hand, she never missed a New York Giants football game and was known to everyone as kind, sweet, and having a big heart.

Special thanks to her friends, Lynn, Julie, and Deirdre who went above and beyond the definition of friendship.

Survived by her husband Christopher Ormsby. Devoted mother of Christian Ormsby. Beloved daughter to Joyce and the late John LaRocca. Dear sister of Lynann Dragone and her husband Mario and Jeanne Lehman and her husband Paul. She is also survived by her brother-in-law
William Ormsby, sisters-in-law AnnMarie Livecchi, Tricia Ormsby, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 2: 00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1969 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 10:15 am.

Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ
