Obituary of Barbara Kaye Bailey

Barbara Kaye Bailey went home Easter Sunday, April 17th, surrounded by family and loved ones. 

Barbara was born on November 16th, 1959 in Bath North Carolina. At a young age, she relocated & moved to Peekskill NY, where she would go on to graduate high school & get her college degree at WCC. After graduation, Barbara would go on to have 3 children while maintaining her career at the V.A hospital. 

She lived for her kids so Her interests included, cooking, secretly writing poetry, drinking coffee, shopping, watching her favorite shows, raising her kids & grandkids & making sure they never went without.

Barbara was survived by her mother Betty, Younger sister Yvonne, 2 Brothers (Rogers and Thomas ), countless aunts & uncles (too many to name), 3 children (Toshonia, Jermaine & James Jr, ), 7 grandchildren ( Sam jr, Toshonia, Shavonne, Shilynn, Baby Tori, Sayuri & Jermaine Jr ) Jamel Sr, and Robert Sr, daughter-in-law (Sayaka), son-in-law (Sam Sr). Besides her 7 grandchildren, she also helped raise several others (Mel Mel, Jada, Justice, King, Wayne (Cuz), Emily, Kimberly & Karl) 

Barbara was A superhero that never let anything or anyone stops her from achieving her happiness & raise her children & her grandchildren which she loved more than life itself. She loved all 

Barbara will be missed dearly and loved daily, her memory shall live on through all of us forever.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566 on Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
