Obituary of Hilda D Cruz
Hilda Cruz, loving mother and devoted wife, passed on at the age of 64 after battling illness for many years. She departed peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the New York Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Hospital.
Hilda is survived by her husband, Eduardo, her daughter Stacey, her son-in-law Joe, her brothers Herber, Jose Alfredo, Jose Antenor, Jose Javier, and her sisters Juliana and Marta.
She was born in Catacaos, Peru, and came to America in 1983 after facing many hardships and challenges.
Hilda loved to clean and make things shine. Throughout the years, she worked as a housekeeper for both a nunnery and a hospital, as well as working at a laundromat. When she came home from work, her house was next; nothing was ever clean enough.
Hilda was the life of the party. You were not done dancing until she let you go. She was also a silly and tough mom, both fun-loving and strict. She taught people how to be strong, how to love God, and how to persevere. She knew how to listen, and always gave the best advice.
