Obituary of Edward Faughnan

Edward M. Faughnan passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024. He was 69 years of age.

He was employed by the Lakeland Central School District as a bus driver and garage technician for 43 years.

Ed (Speedy) was a life member of the Lake Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association and Ambulance Corps.

Ed was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 19, 1954, to John and Mary Faughnan.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Mary, Philip (Bonnie), James (Jeannine), Michael, and Laurie.

He is pre-deceased by his brother John R. Faughnan, Jr.

He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Lauren (Robert), Sandra (Adam), Theodore, Kristen, Kim, Aidan, and his great-nephews and niece; Robert, John, and Aurora.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Columbanus Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:30 am

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery

In lieu of Flowers donations in Ed’s memory can be made to the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
