Obituary of Margaret Dengler
Margaret Ann Dengler left her days of suffering behind and is now headed to her eternal reward. After a very long battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12th, 2024.
Margie, as she was known to relatives and friends was raised in the Bronx, NY, and lived there until she moved to Peekskill in 1987.
In her youth, she attended St. John’s and St. Raymond’s grammar schools. She then went on to Mother Butler High School and from there to Fordham University where she earned her B.A. and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976.
She worked for a short period in the Communications industry after which time she formed her own business as a book editor.
She was the beloved daughter of Walter and Theresa (Rothlauf) Dengler who predeceased her in recent years. Also predeceasing her was her beloved nephew, Mark Dengler.
She is survived by her beloved dog Wiggles, her sister Susan McKeon, and brother Richard (Judy) Dengler.
She will be missed by her loving nephews, Brian (Sonia), Michael, Matthew (Danielle) McKeon and Peter W. (Rosa) Dengler, and niece Christine McKeon. Her grandnieces Amanda McKeon, Giuliana and Luciana Dengler, and grandnephew Peter A. Dengler join the long list of those who will miss having her in their earthly lives.
Visitation will take place at The Joseph Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill NY 10566 on Wednesday, May 15 between the hours of 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
A mass of Christian Burial will take place at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 1969 Crompond Road at 10:15 AM on Thursday, May 16.
