Obituary of Antero Rojas
Antero Francisco Rojas passed away at the age of 73, on June 13 th, 2024 after a long battle with illness.
Antero was born on August 14, 1950 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
He attended Samuel Gompers High School and was an avid reader.
He went on to serve in the United States Navy for three years and worked for the MTA as a Conductor for a year until moving on to become a Flagman for 22 years, retiring to enjoy his love of music and movies.
He is preceded in death by his father Antero Rojas, brother Jose Rojas, and furson Spike Lee Rojas.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Rojas, son Anthony Rojas, daughter Jada Rojas, grandchildren Anaiah Rojas, Daniel Cordero, Evelyn Cordero, grand fur children Pugsley Rojas, Ollie Moore, Gertie Moore, mother Carmen Rojas, brother Carlos Rojas, sister Carmin Correa, sister Grizel Almodovar, daughter-in-law Ana Northover, and son-in-law Ryan Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Also included as family would be his very close and dear friends, neighbors, and co-workers who all held a special place in his life.
A Celebration of a Wonderful Life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm
Interment and rendering of Military Honors, playing of taps, flag folding, and presentation ceremony to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 2:15 pm
