Robert W. Youngquist of Ossining passed away on July 28, 2015 after a long & brave battle with Dementia. He was born on November 9, 1926 to Ellen “Nellie” and Howard “Nifty” Youngquist, Sr. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Howard Jr., sister, Florence Decker and beloved niece, Lynn Decker Caso.
After he graduated from Ossining High School; he spent two years in the US Navy during WWII. Robert graduated from Ryder College and had a wonderful career; living and working all over the world as an Accountant for AAFES running PX’s for the government. He was an avid golfer and loved spending his days fishing on the Hudson.
He is survived by his loving sister, Joan Hughes of Mohegan Lake, NY and three nieces, two nephews, two great nieces, seven great nephews and three great-great nephews.
Cremation services were private and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 12pm to 2pm at the Ossining Boat & Canoe Club. Arrangements, Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY.
