Obituary of Louis L. Leonardi

It is with great sadness that the family of Louis L. Leonardi of Cortlandt Manor, NY announce his passing on Monday, April 16th, 2018 at the age of 86. Lou will be lovingly remembered by his wife Connie of 63 years and his children Lori and husband Larry, Dana and husband Ken, Louis and wife Amy, and Cara and husband Rick. He will also be fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, Dawn, Sara, Tyler, Joseph, Kelsey, Natalie, Carissa, Louis, Erica, Steven, and great granddaughter Madelyn. Lou was a gentle soul, loved by so many. He cherished time with his family and was the best father and mentor anyone could hope for. He took great pride in the work he did over the years. He started out as a plasterer and became vice president and co owner of a large NYC based construction company. He worked on the buildings all over the tri state area including the world trade center ,the empire state building and Kennedy airport. In the 1980’s he started working locally on residential construction and in 1991, it became Leonardi and Son Construction. He worked hard his whole life, but also took the time to spend with friends and family. He traveled the world with his loving wife and lived every day to the fullest. He is remembered fondly and loved by all that knew him. Dad we love you and will miss you every day. A celebration of life mass in memory of Louis will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 6PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 3830 Gomer Street, Yorktown Heights, NY followed by a reception in the church hall.
