Obituary of Donald H. Scheuber

Donald H. Scheuber of Peekskill, NY formerly of Buchanan, proud husband, father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by his family on October 4, 2014. He was 85 years old. He owned and operated Scheuber Plumbing & Heating, Inc. in Montrose, NY. He was born on August 30, 1929 in Peekskill to William and Magdalena Scheuber. On August 28, 1955 he married Olga Gallucci at the Assumption Church. Locally, Don was a Life Member of the Elks Lodge 744 and “1995 Elk of the Year”. He was also a Life Member of the Cortlandt Engine Co. His life was filled with wonderful family memories; especially Sunday dinner traditions. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Olga Scheuber of Peekskill and six children; Diane Marie Scheuber, Stacie (Paul) Cignarale, Donna (Albert) Small, Karen (Ernie) Gurina, Donald (Caroline) Scheuber and Marcy (Bryce) Ready. Nine grandchildren; Diane, Angela, Paula (Kevin Sarles) and Michael Cignarale, AJ and Alyssa Small and Trystan, Zoey and Royce Ready. Also survived by his beloved sister-in-law Marye Camp, many loving nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Charlotte. Visitation is today, Sunday from 5pm to 9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral Service, Monday, 10am at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
