Obituary of Helen A. Stroub

Helen A. Stroub of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away surrounded by her family on July 22, 2014. She was 89 years old. Helen had worked for various local merchants throughout the years, lastly at Melanie’s Cards & Gifts in the Cortlandt Town Center. She was born on January 7, 1925 in Yonkers to John and Anna Skladany Bobot. On July 17, 1943 she married Stephen V. Stroub in New York City. Helen is survived by a daughter, Jo-Ann McGinness of Cortlandt Manor and two grandchildren; Stephanie (Bradley) Sellen and Stephen John Stroub, Jr. Also surviving are four great grandchildren; Cody, Cameron and Casandra Sellen and Stephen John Stroub, III. Predeceased by her husband, Stephen V. Stroub and her son, Stephen John Stroub, Sr. Visitation is Sunday, July 27th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 28th, 10am at St. Columbanus Church. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
