Obituary of Marie Lenato

Marie Lenato of Warwick, NY, formerly of Peekskill entered into rest on July 9, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Marie was a Registered Nurse and a former Nursing Supervisor at Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor. Born in Peekskill, Marie attended local area schools and graduated from Peekskill HS. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Patterson, NJ and received her BSN from Pace University in Pleasantville. On October 1, 1949 she married James V. Lenato at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Marie touched many lives and those lives she touched will always remember her kindness. She is survived by her daughter June Lennon and her husband, Roger and her two beloved grandchildren; Roger James and Kerry Marie (Jon). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and numerous friends, especially Roberta, Bea and her cherished “Ya-Ya” girls. Special thanks to Joanne, Jessie and her special angel, Amanda. Predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Josephine (Gianella) Coluccini and a brother, Alfred Coluccini. Visitation is Thursday, July 17th from 4pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 18th, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
